February is the month of love. It’s time to appreciate the people who support and adore us, the ones who put up with us and care for us and entertain us. Even though it’s my Year to Sew All of The Things, I am going to focus a little bit on those I adore. Sewing for others is a good way to practice skills or use patterns and fabrics we don’t normally use. Gillian and Leila and maybe a few others are also joining in the fun. Will you?
I am starting my For You February by making things for my boys at home. I traced three Ottobre patterns last night for my kiddo, and have a plan for a little surprise for the hubs out of a bit of stash Echino.
The Ottobre patterns are a few variations on knit shirts. As my toddler tumbles more, walks and even tries to run now, comfort is essential for free movement. I wear mostly knits, especially to the gym. His entire day is a gym workout! I am excited to make him some new clothes. Now where can I find neon jersey?
Hope you are enjoying the last bit of Winter. We never really had any snow this year, but we are getting outside and biking a ton! (10 days until Valentine’s Day – want to be on my valentine? Send me an email to malora at the gmail with your mailing address for a custom valentine! Deadline is February 10th!)
Love,
MaLora
